Acceptable Use Policy

 Under these terms:

• we are the service provider – Megin Cloud (Pty) Ltd (Registration number: 2024/036534/07); and
• you are our customer

Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) outlines the principles and rules that govern the use of Megin Cloud’s services. By using our services, you agree to comply with this AUP.

Purpose

The purpose of this AUP is to ensure that all users of our cloud services can benefit from a safe, secure and efficient environment and to protect the resources, privacy and rights of all customers.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use our services to:

• Violate Laws: Engage in activities that are illegal or that violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Infringe Rights: Infringe upon the rights of others, including copyright, trademark, privacy, or other personal or proprietary rights.
• Distribute Malware: Transmit or distribute viruses, worms, Trojans, or any other malicious code.
• Spam: Send unsolicited bulk messages or spam.
• Hacking: Attempt to gain unauthorised access to or disrupt any service, device, data, account, or network.
• Resource Abuse: Use the services in a manner that significantly degrades performance for other users, including excessive consumption of bandwidth or CPU resources.
• Phishing: Conduct any activities associated with phishing or pretending to be another person or entity to deceive or mislead.
• Host Content: That is harmful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libellous, or otherwise objectionable.

Security

• Users must take reasonable security precautions, such as protecting passwords and ensuring systems are free from malware.
• Any security breaches or unauthorised use must be reported immediately to Megin Cloud.

Monitoring and Enforcement 

• We reserve the right but do not assume the obligation, to monitor or review any user’s conduct on our services to ensure compliance with this AUP.
• Non-compliance may result in suspension or termination of services, removal of content, or other actions deemed necessary by mCloud.

Reporting Violations

• If you become aware of any violence of this AUP, you should report it to Megin Cloud by telephone on +27 87 000 4010, or by email on support@megincloud.com.

Changes to this AUP

• Megin Cloud may update this AUP from time to time. Users will be notified of significant changes, but it’s the user’s responsibility to check this AUP periodically.

Liabilty

• Users are solely liable for any content they upload, post, or otherwise transmit via our services. mCloud assumes no responsibility for the conduct of its users.
